A high-quality linear actuator, both it’s internal parts and casing, must be molded to the highest standards. Derock, as the benchmarking enterprise in the industry, the material, design and function of each product have been repeatedly tested for a long time.
When it comes to the durability of the linear actuator, the structure of the actuator casing has an important impact. The casing of a linear actuator usually consists of two shells fastened together around the inner components of the actuator, it is usually made of plastic or aluminum. Although the linear actuator with the plastic casing is mainly used indoors, it is also suitable for a wide range of applications. But with frequent temperature fluctuations, the plastic can become loose, and the linear actuator’s entrance protection can become weaken over time, in this case, aluminum is a better choice, because the aluminum casing can hold its shape in the face of fluctuating temperatures, exposure to chemicals or harsh environments, and its IP protection level does not decrease over time. The aluminum casing helps protect the linear actuator from harsh environments such as temperature changes, chemicals, strength and vibration.
Derock’s aluminum casing is corroded to withstand up to 500 hours of salt spray and a variety of other mandatory harsh environmental tests. In some cases, when the linear actuator comes into contact with strong corrosion or water vapor, it can still operate perfectly without being affected.
And for special environments where hygiene is very important, such as the kitchen, silicone seals can be selected for the linear actuators so that bacteria do not accumulate on the smooth surfaces of the rods or on the seals.
Today, here is our brief introduction to the casing and performance of the electric linear actuator. If you want to know more about the knowledge of the linear actuator, please contact us for communication and discussion.
