12V/24V DC is used for work, use a linear actuator with a 24V operating voltage unless you only have a 12V power source available, as advised;
The stroke rod of a linear actuator will expand outward when it is linked to a DC power source; the stroke rod will retract inward when the power is switched back.
By changing the polarity of the DC power source, the stroke slider's direction of travel may be altered.
